Our Mission
September 11th 2001 was a devastating day for the United States and the rest of the world.  In the mist of the chaos that was to change the world forever, a group of men and women emerged that selflessly gave of themselves.  These men and women were members of the New York Fire Department.  In their greatest hour, many of them were forever lost.  In his speach at the 20th Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Tribute, President George W. Bush stated:

"Within a single hour, more than 300 firefighters were lost. And our nation still mourns. They did not live to know who had caused the destruction, or why. They only knew their duty. And that was to go in, to follow the faintest cry, to search for the trapped and helpless, and to save those who could be saved. "

Those that survived lost their coworkers, loved ones and their best friends.  This website was designed by a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team to help these heros cope with the tragedy and their losses on that horrific day.  In order to better understand their losses, we invite you to learn a little bit of the bonds that exist among these brave men and women.
